The coroner is authorized to appoint the following employees whose duties shall be those indicated by their respective titles and codes, who shall hold office during the pleasure of the coroner, and who shall receive a salary at the following bi-weekly rates of pay beginning the first bi-weekly pay period following its passage and approval by the mayor:
