| Resolutions adopted during the 2010 session by the St. Louis City
Board of Aldermen have been converted to electronic format by the staff of the St. Louis

WHEREAS, the Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity founded APush America@ with the intention of providing service and education to promote a greater understanding of persons with disabilities; and
WHEREAS, the Journey of Hope team, consisting of members of Pi Kappa Phi Fraternity, is going the extra mile for people with disabilities; and
WHEREAS, the Journey of Hope team began a bicycle trip on June 9, 2010, leaving Seattle, Washington, and will arrive in Washington, D.C. on August 14, 2010, traveling over 4000 miles; and
WHEREAS, the team has cycled from city to city carrying their message of acceptance and understanding to the hearts and homes of people across the United States; and
WHEREAS, now completing their nation-wide trek, the team has raised more than $450,000 which will further the cause of APush America.@
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Aldermen of the City of
St. Louis that we pause in our deliberations to recognize and thank the Journey of Hope team who has provided untiring dedication to their cause and we further direct the Clerk of this Board to spread a copy of this Resolution across the minutes of these proceedings and to prepare a commemorative copy to the end that it may be presented to our honoree at a time and place deemed appropriate by the Sponsor.Introduced on the 24th day of July, 2010 by:
