| Board Bills are introduced (given
a First Reading) during regularly scheduled Aldermanic meetings upon the request of the
primary sponsor of the Bill. Board Bills may have more than one co-sponsor. The Board
Bills are assigned to an Aldermanic Committee for hearing at the time they are introduced.
All Bills are subject to amendment or revision either during the required committee
hearing or during the formal debate of the Bill by the full Board of Aldermen. When a pending Board Bill becomes law (an ordinance), the First Reading version is replaced by the final version. Use the Search by Alderman, Board Bill, Topic, or Advanced Search
options below to search for First Readings. |
