Summer Reading Club 2010

Events for children
Young readers are encouraged to "Make a Splash READ!" and teen readers to "Make Waves at SLPL!" as participants in St. Louis Public Library's Summer Reading Club 2010.

From June 5 through August 7 readers aged birth-18 from throughout the City can have fun while they read for prizes. Youngsters who can't read yet can participate by having books read to them.

Events for Teens
Readers who reach their final goal will be entered into drawings for Cardinal baseball tickets, a Dell computer package (teens) and the chance to throw out the first pitch at a Cardinals home game (ages 8-17), and other Grand Prize choices.

Summer Reading Club members will enjoy events for kids and for teens. It will be a summer filled with activities and events such as; storytimes, movies, game days, crafts, Gyotaku (fish prints), Wii tournaments, and sunglass design.

Rules are simple. Readers sign up at any one Library location, begin reading, and attend the fun activities planned at all the locations this summer. Groups are welcome to join. More information is available at your favorite branch.
