| Wings of Hope received the Scharr Medallion in 1993 as part of the St. Louis Public Library's Aviation History Month activities. The group was honored for being their efforts in bringing help and hope to troubled areas of the world. Wings of Hope has enlisted the aid of aviation volunteers to fly supplies and equipment to areas where they are needed. |
